Napa Wedding Photography: Brittany + Brian

Brian and Brittany got married this month up in Napa and the Bill Blakey Photography team had the pleasure of making the drive up north to photograph it!  These two were so calm, collected and in love the whole day.

I’ve posted just a few of my favorites below and I am even in two of the photos!

Thanks again Brittany and Brian!  You guys rocked our socks off.  Literally.  We drove home sockless…

Heidi + Mike {Engaged}

Before I got crazy sick last week (a sickness that felled me and I am STILL trying to recover from), Cory and I had the privilege to meet up with Heidi and Mike for their engagement session.  We met up at the Santa Monica pier and here are just a few of the favorites.  These two are getting married in Camarillo in April and I’m definitely looking forward to it!

Gena - Gorgeous!

Just one from yesterday…

This past week has been….crazy.  I got deathly ill this week and made a trip up to Napa this weekend to photograph Brittany and Brian’s wedding and just got back.  It rained the whole way home today.  I am so glad to be home and am going to be trying to rest and recuperate (and get an engagement session finally ready to blog), but for now I thought I would just share one of many great images that I am excited about from yesterday!  Enjoy!

Shooting for Fun

For Christmas, we took a few days and went up north to where my wife Cory’s parents live.  It was great and very relaxing and I’ll be honest, one of my favorite things about it turned out to be the walks.

They live only a couple of blocks from these wide-open and abandoned fields.  We walked and let the dogs run and run.  Thank the Lord the weather was cool (not sure I would have wanted to do these walks in the summer).  Perfect sweatshirt weather.

I brought one of my cameras along as well as one lens and while we were on one of the walks had the chance to snap a few photos.  It had been a while since I had just gone out to take photos for fun and I really enjoyed it.  While I didn’t take them and process them like I normally do, it was fun to get out of my comfort zone and to enjoy photographing some beautiful spots.  It made me realize again how much I enjoy photography and am so thankful that I get to be paid to do something that I love!

Hope you all are well, enjoy some relaxation over these next few days and be on the lookout for some more blogs coming soon!  I like this “time to blog” thing!
