Amber + Andrew {Engaged} Sneak Peek- Los Angeles Engagement Photography

Downtown Los Angeles Engagement Photography

Here’s just one from the awesome engagement shoot we did with Amber and Andrew a few days ago in downtown Los Angeles.  It was so fun!  I’m at WPPI today (which I’ll hopefully blog about soon) excited about some new things coming up.

Have an awesome Tuesday!

John + Stacy {Engaged}- Southern California Engagement Photography

This was a fun session.  I’ve known John for quite a while but had just gotten to meet Stacy and it was so cool to get to spend time with them.  They are spot on for each other.  I have to say this was one of my most fun sessions to date.  I feel like the photo above captures the feel of our time together- we laughed a lot.

John and Stacy said that it was fun during their session just to spend time getting to look at each other.  I think they kind of liked it…

After a quick change of clothes in a Starbucks (that’s how we work it), we were off to our second location with the last minutes of light left and it was awesome.

Cory and I were so blessed to get to hang out with you guys!  Let’s do it again soon!

Melissa Burns - Sweet photos! Love the light in the first ones!

Brandon {Graduate}

Had the opportunity to do some portraits for my good friend Brandon.  Brandon serves in the Junior High Ministry with Cory and I and just recently graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Film and is now working to get a job in film production.  We had a great time and got some great shots!

Melissa + Brandon {Engaged}

I have to say that I am excited to post these photos from a couple weeks ago at Melissa and Brandon’s Engagement Session in Glendale.  We had been trying to work out a day to get together, and the day that it finally worked out, it was raining.  Being up for an adventure as they were, Melissa and Brandon opted to continue.  And we shot in the rain.  It was definitely challenging to be able to keep my camera dry and wouldn’t have been possible, without my friend Bryce who came along and held a massive golf umbrella.

The part of the shoot that was not a challenge was Melissa and Brandon.  I have to say it was one of the most fun shoots that I have been on.  They love each other so much and love to laugh.  And have a talent for making me crack up as well.  Shooting these photos reminded me of playing in the rain as a kid, having fun and not minding the weather.  Thanks so much you too for the great time.

I am looking forward to the wedding in April!

Kelli - Wow, these are remarkable….I especially love the one of Brandon holding Melissa with the umbrella. It is the picture of peace, love and romance. I cannot wait for this beautiful couple to get married. I have known Brandon since he was a little boy and I am so proud of the man that he has become and though I do not know Melissa as well, I look forward to getting to know her over the coming years.

The Conversation

Just wanted to post real quick to say that I thoroughly enjoy twitter.  Twitter is a funny thing.  Some people can use it in a shallow way and it can be a huge distraction to their relationships with the people right in front of them.  But it doesn’t have to be that way.  I’ve found Twitter to be a blessing because it allows me to be up to date with what is going on in my friends’ and family’s lives.  Reading tweets from others about what is going on in their life doesn’t suffice for relationship to be sure, but I’ve found that Twitter pushes me towards real relationships with others.  Knowing just a few details or getting to see a photo from someone else whets my appetite for more.  It makes me want to see them and talk to them face to face.

So if you twitter, let’s connect and hopefully use this to build some real relationship!  You can follow me here. And if we end up meeting for coffee and need to know when/where, we could make tweets about the deets….
