Revival X.

{If you are looking for wedding photos, they should be up in a couple of hours!}

Whew!  It feels like I’ve been gone from this blog a long time!  That’s probably because I have.  This summer has been super busy and fun for me so far and I have a lot of things that hopefully I will find time to post soon.   So much has been going on in my life that I want to share!

I feel as though my blog neglect could be characterized as an “epic fail” and am always somewhat bashful when I run into someone at a wedding who tells me that they check my blog often.  So here we go, I’ll hopefully be putting up quite a few posts this week!

The first is entitled “Revival.”  Both my older and younger brothers are high school pastors at Compass Bible Church in Orange County and every year they take over 300 students to their summer camp called Revival.  This year was Revival X (for 2010, and also because X marks the spot) at Lake Havasu in AZ.  Yes.  It was hot.  Hotter than hot.  Just opened the door to the oven hot.

Even though it was hot, it was a really great time and I thought that I would post just a few of my photos from the week.  Enjoy!

It was fun and a new thing for me to go out on the boats and capture some epic shots and video of kids wiping out on tubes and wakeboards.  I also learned just how refreshing jumping in a lake can be.

What would a summer camp be without games?  The competitions were epic and fun to photograph.

Probably one of the portions of the week that I enjoyed the most was the worship.  My brother Ben led the band and all of us in some sweet times of worship and I learned some new songs I’m excited to bring back to my own youth group.

Revival Photobooth

{For those of you who are waiting to see some wedding photos, they will be up within the next couple of hours!}

While we were at my brother’s summer camp, I tried my hand at a new thing that I am working on- the photobooth, without the booth.  This is something I’d love to offer as a part of my wedding packages but still haven’t thought of the right name for what to call it.  Basically it is a photo backdrop that gives people the opportunity to go crazy in front of it.  It isn’t a place for everyone to smile and say “cheese,” but for the fun personalities of the group to come out.

Enjoy a few of my favorites!
